When I was five I wanted to be a vet.
When I was 10 I wanted to be normal.
When I was 12 I wanted to be the prophet of my church.
When I was 13 I realized the prophet had to be a man. So I decided I wanted to marry the prophet instead.
Since I turned 13 I’ve changed my mind about what I want to be when I grow up countless times. I’ve gone from a lawyer to a teacher to the Governor of Idaho, but no matter what I wanted to be when I grew up I was committed to it.
I barrell been through life in pursuit of a goal that matters. Right now I’ve settled into the communications field because it allows me to do everything I love; reading, writing, public speaking, research, teaching, and leadership.
I’m a planner, but I also know how to improvise. I can speak in front of 4,000 people but I’m terrified of the dark. I’ve chopped all my hair off and wear heels for fun. I’m outspoken but have learned silence is a wonderful opportunity.
I’m the hardest worker you’ll ever meet, but can binge watch Downton Abbey like nobody’s business. I’m from Blackfoot, Idaho but couldn’t be more of a world traveler. I grew up with two siblings and now I have 14. I know the glass is half full, but it’s also half empty.
I love yoga, thai food, a good story, rainy days, and Apple products. I can take a dang good photo, design a beautful magazine, write a good story and then market it all.
I’m kinda complicated, but not really. Nevertheless, trust me. There’s more to me than meets my resume.
